November Tools & Technique Class

Our last Tools & Techniques class for the year is now on display in store.  
 
Alchemy with Distress Inks
 
(Some) of the the tools for the class are dye inks, foam applicators, craft sheets, printed papers and stamps.  The techniques covered are watercolour backgrounds, resist embossing and smudged backgrounds.  It is a lot of fun working with the inks and watching the colours move and pop. 
The finished elements can be used on both cards and scrapbook pages.
Here is examples of what will be done in class whilst learning the techniques.

Our Last Scrapbooking Class for 2009....

is on display in store now.

 
In this class we will use the stunning Prima Flowers and crystal branches.  This page is quite spectacular and would not only be a feature in any album but also look incredible in a frame or on a canvas. 

This class will be held Thursday 3rd December 2009.  6.30 - 8.30pm.  Jut a heads up we are also holding our in store Christmas party this night.  It is going to be a fun, fun night!

November Card Making Class - Tuesday 10th November

The November Card class sample is on display in store now.

Christmas card sending time is literally only weeks away now.  

This class uses a Kaisercraft paper.  The vellum window is a great technique for creating focus on a busy or bright background paper.  The finishing touches come from pearls, the luxurious Maya Road scalloped velvet ribbon and Tim Holtz's Rock Candy.   This is the first time we have used this technique in class.  You will also find out another use for cotton buds!

This card will be held on Tuesday 10th November.  6.30pm - 8.30pm.  Bookings can be taken in store, by emailing info@chandoncraft.com.au or calling the shop on 5223 2003.  Knock over another special card in this class as well as taking home another piece of knowlege.  Cost $23.95.
 

 

26th November Class - "My Girl"

In this class we will be using the sewing machine to finish off the layout.  Sewing looks awesome on layouts.  Learn how to use a sewing machine on layouts and any other papercraft.  The title on this double page is totally flexible, you decide what is right for your photos.

19th November Class

is now on display in store. 

With just over 8 weeks till Christmas (yes we know it is hard to believe and I had to double check this!!!) and so many fabulous Christmas papers and embellishments around we could not resist but run a Christmas layout class.  Who doesn't take photos at Christmas???
Scrap some of your favorite photos from previous years in this class, or just do the layout and add your photos from 2009 Christmas later.

In this class we will use the Making Memories Mistletoe range of papers and embellishments to create the pages.  The title of the layout can be anything you want as it is cut out electronically. 

This class will be held Thursday 19th November 2009.  6.30 - 8.30pm.

12th November Class - "Good Times"

This layout explores using the Cricut Machine and a Crafter's Workshop Template to decorate the double page layout.  From this class you will not only take home a great double page layout, but also your own 6x6" Crafter's Home Template to continue exploring the joy and versitility of templates.

5th November Class - "Natural Beauty"

This layout explores using a mask and stamps to create patterns in paper with both ink and paint.  Take home your own Heidi Swapp Butterfly mask from this class and create many more layouts, cards or Beyond the Page Projects.

29th October Class - "Wonder"

is now on dispaly in store. 

This layout explores making your own flowers to decorate a a page.  The layout is made from the stunning My Minds Eye papers.  This class will give a whole new technique to add to pages and cards.

This class will be held Thursday 29th October 2009.  6.30 - 8.30pm.

October 22nd Scrapbooking Class

is now on dispaly in store. 

This double page layout explores making your own embellishments from felt, die cuts and journalling cards.

This class will be held Thursday 22nd October 2009.  6.30 - 8.30pm. 
Photos required for this page are one 4x6" portrait and three 4" squares (we cut down three 4x6" pics to make the squares).

October 8th - Scrapbooking Class

is now on dispaly in store.  This double page class uses the awesome brand new Bo Bunny "Flutter Butter" Range.  This range is so versitile.  Julie has used gorgeous photos of her best friend stunning little girl Jemeah on our store layout, but the paper suits girls or women of any age, heritage pictures and family pictures.  The brown title are stickers so you can call your layout anything you want.  It really is just a stunning layout.

This class will be held Thursday 8th October 2009.  6.30 - 8.30pm. 
Photos required for this page are one 5x7" portrait and one landscape.  We have used a ? X ? landscape collage picture for the right hand size of the page, it is suitable to use
