We are always dying to use new product as it comes in store. Here are some tips from Kerry and Debbie:-
Think Inside the Square, Circle, Rectangle from Kerry Durston
You may have noticed the blog entry for January 10th showing the new Kaisercraft rubons. I immediately placed my order for the 'Flourish Journals' sheet and got to pick it up today. Along with the sheet of journaling blocks I picked up the odd sheet (or two) of borders that happen to go with the swirls of the blocks. Looking through this new stash tonight I realised that I don't need to keep the lines in the blocks. These can be cut out .. and kept. This is great for using the blocks for frames over photos, perhaps on an acetate overlay. Removing the lines helps if you want to add rubon words or greetings. Perhaps your own writing doesn't fit the spacing of the lines. So flexible!

As you can see from this bottom right hand corner block, without the lines it is an ideal frame.
Using Rhinestone Words as shown by Debbie Johnston
When embellishing with these very Blingy Rhinestone words place them over both the layout and the photo for maximum effect.
